About Welcome Foster Care

Since our establishment, we have worked very hard to successfully establish a truly dedicated team of qualified professionals who are inspired by the great work done by foster carers in caring for children and young people.

We work with local authorities across London and Essex.

We are based in Stratford and have a qualified and experienced social work team who enabling us to deliver an outstanding local service to foster carers and children. 

The Team

Welcome Foster Care has a qualified and experienced social work team based in the South of England who help deliver an outstanding local service to foster carers and children.

The social work team consist of managers, social workers and administrators.

Managers

The management activities are currently undertaken by the Registered Manager (the Responsible Individual) and the Practice Manager (the Deputy Manager).

All managers at Welcome Foster Care are fully qualified and experienced in managing dedicated teams of qualified staff to help deliver an outstanding service to carers and foster children.

Supervising Social Workers

The Supervising Social Workers are responsible for providing support and supervision to foster carers. Our supervising social workers have appropriate social work qualification e.g. DipSW/CSS/CQSW and are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Our Children’s Champion

Our Children’s Champion is a senior member of staff who makes independent visits to children and young people who are placed with Welcome Foster Care to ensure their concerns are heard. Reporting back to the team to address specific issues to ensure the needs of the child are met – either by the foster carers, the agency or the social worker.

In addition to the above, Welcome Foster Care employs administrators to conduct statutory checks regarding foster carers, maintain policies and procedures, establish systems to maintain full information and records regarding foster carers and children in placement. We also work closely with specialist teams and support workers to assist children and young people in need of their support. We aim to deliver an outstanding service and a genuinely child-centred experience for vulnerable children and young people.

We are continuously recruiting highly motivated individuals and couples to become foster carers in East London, South East London and Essex.

We were last inspected by Ofsted in November 2012 and we achieved an overall rating of ‘Good’.
